New England Sports Village Teams Up With Athletic Performance Training
Premier Strength and Conditioning Facility Coming to NESV
Attleboro MA (Wednesday 8, 2016) – The New England Sports Village (NESV) announced today that Athletic Performance Training will be the elite strength and conditioning center at the NESV. Former University of Massachusetts Lowell Captain and professional hockey player, Pete Tormey along with his director of performance, Michael Donoghue, will be bringing their talents and training center to Attleboro when The Rinks at the New England Sports Village open this fall.
“We are thrilled to have Athletic Performance Training coming to the Village to work with our athletes,” says Joe Fitzpatrick, developer of the NESV. “Pete and his team are among the very best in the business and bring a wealth of experience across a number of sports to help not only our athletes, but the entire community. Given the large number of professional athletes Pete and his team train, and their enormous success, we know he is a true asset to our facility and can’t wait to have him here.”
“The New England Sports Village is going to be an incredible one stop shop for youth and professional athletes in Massachusetts and we are so happy to be able to team up with them to bring the best in strength and conditioning to the area,” says Pete Tormey, owner and coach at APT. “We look forward to bringing our movement-based approach to improving athletic development to the NESV. The programs we create are designed to correct dysfunctional movement patterns as well as strengthen the athletes in order to limit non-contact injuries and improve their athletic ability.”
APT is currently the premier training facility on Cape Cod and has programs for all ages and levels from youth to adult as well as beginners to elite athletes. APT’s comprehensive training philosophy develops success and prepares athletes to succeed at the next level. APT will be moving into their new home at the New England Sports Village located adjacent to Route 95 in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The New England Sports Village is a 53 million dollar project that contains two NHL-sized rinks and a smaller training rink with complimentary restaurants, medical, and retail amenities. Upon completion, the Village will also include a 150-room hotel, the only privately owned Olympic sized 50-meter pool in the state, a 170,000 square foot indoor turf field house, basketball courts, a tennis and wellness pavilion, a state of the art training facility and gym, and outdoor fields.
