APT hires Lisa Davis as a Strength & Conditioning Coach

APT is excited to announce Lisa Davis as a new strength and conditioning coach. Lisa is highly knowledgable in strength and conditioning and has a great background in sports. Lisa will be a great asset to APT

About Lisa

Born and raised in Falmouth, Lisa attended Falmouth High School from 1997-1999. She played varsity soccer and junior varsity boys hockey. In 1999, she transferred to Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, where she played hockey for their girls’ program.

After high school, Lisa attended Boston College, graduating in 2005 with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Health Science. She was the starting goaltender for the women’s hockey team for three years, with mononucleosis incapacitating her during most of her senior season.

Lisa decided to travel after graduating from college and ended up playing hockey in Sweden in the women’s Riksserien league from 2006 to 2008. She then went on to play in the women’s SM-sarja league in Finland while she completed her graduate studies. She attended the University of Jyväskylä , earning a MSc. in Sports Sciences in 2010. She published a paper in conjunction with her thesis, “Neuromuscular fatigue during dynamic maximal strength and hypertrophic resistance loadings,” in the Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology

Lisa has recently moved back to the States and is currently the goaltending coaching for the Falmouth High School girls’ ice hockey team. She also hopes to attend school to become a physical therapist in the future.
